New to the 2011 ride series, this ride is focused on activities that families with children from toddlers to elementary age can enjoy.
Also, special to this ride and in partnership with Barton Place, we will have a limited number of Dutch style box bikes available at no charge for families to use on the ride. See why box bikes are called bicycle SUVs for families on two wheels.
Stops will include interactive art projects for the family at the Austin Museum of Art. DATE: Saturday, May 14, 2011
TIME: Meet up at 9:00 AM, Leave at 9:30 AM (please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to departure for check-in). Ride will wrap up by approximately 12:30 PM.
LOCATION: Whole Foods Market, 525 N. Lamar
COST: $22 online before day of ride. Ride day $25, cash only.
FAMILY RATE: $40/family online before day of ride. Ride day $44/family, cash only. (Family is 2 adults and up to 4 children.)
BIKE RENTALS: Need a bike? We’ve got you covered. We have a fleet of comfortable, easy to ride Gazelle Dutch bikes for your biking needs including child seats! Bikes are available by height at $25/ride. Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org if you need a child seat included with your bike rental (no charge.)
SPECIAL FREE BOX BIKE RENTAL: In partnership with Barton Place, we will have a limited number of box bikes available for families to use on this ride. One size fits all. They fit up to two children passengers. Choose from the rental order box if you want to ride one for this ride.
As with all these rides, food and drink, bike valet, and professional ride guides are included in the registration. All ride participants will received a coupon book with hundreds of dollars in saving from our series ride stop partners and will be entered into a drawing to giveaway a Gazelle Basic Dutch city bike at the end of the series. Total ride distance is approximately 4 miles.
