Bike ride details:
Silent and slow memorial ride (less than 12 MPH) that began at White Rock Lake in 2003, and rides on the same day at the same time now takes place all over the country, and the world. Ride of Silence exists to commemorate and draw attention to cyclists who have been killed on public roadways. Organized by volunteers without a cash flow. Draws between 2,000-3,000 riders.
Bike ride is hosted by Share the ROAD! and Old Tascosa Cycling. Amarillo’s 8th Ride Of Silence and supported by the City of Amarillo and Amarillo Police Department. www.oldtascosacycling.com.
