May 18, 2010 – Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.- Silent and slow memorial ride (less than 12 MPH) that began at White Rock Lake in 2003, and rides on the same day at the same time now takes place all over the country, and the world. Ride of Silence exists to commemorate and draw attention to cyclists who have been killed on public roadways. Organized by volunteers without a cash flow. Draws between 2,000-3,000 riders. The start and finish is at the Town Center of Bartonville. You may know of the ordinance passed to keep cyclists off the roads in Bartonville. As there are many cyclists that live in the Flower Mound area, this seems like a logical place to hold a RoS.
